From a very early age we are taught that success is hard work and that nothing worth having comes easy. We are taught to seek outside of ourselves for answers, for solutions, for motivation, for determination. We are taught that the only way to have what we want in life is to go out there and get it ourselves.
While taking inspired action can definitely help us create the life of our dreams; random, forceful action can keep repel us from it.
My whole life I have been a very action oriented person. I was so motivated and so driven that I finished a 4 year degree in Psychology in just 2 and a half years.
I have learned that the forceful, fast action can take us pretty far but the stillness and rest can help us go even further.
My desire to get everything done and to figure everything out has caused me to hit a bunch of walls and burnout super quick. It landed me in a space where everything was a struggle and I lost all creativity and inspiration.
In the last 6 months alone I have been working tirelessly to kick off this aligned and impactful business.
I took several online business courses, read a bunch of books, listened to every podcast I could find, watched YouTube Video after YouTube video and still couldn't figure it out. It felt like the more I searched, the further I was from the solutions that I was seeking.
𝘔𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘺 𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯, 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵. Trying to rush and force an answer.
Finally 𝘐 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳.
The very next day in my meditation practice I found the answers I had been looking for, tons of ideas and inspirations came flooding through me. Ideas I never could have found if I didn't slow down. Ideas about a meditation challenge, a 1:1 coaching program, a book that I want to write and SO much more.
𝘛𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘶𝘱, 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘨𝘰. When I chose to surrender my mind became still and my soul spoke up.. Everything that I was looking for (and more) moved through me.
Everything that I chased externally in an effort to "figure it all out" just pushed me further away from where I was meant to be but when I became still I was able to truly and fully receive.
If you're someone who feels like you are searching everywhere for answers, pushing and forcing things to happen and just spinning in circles but could benefit from some stillness, join me for my 21 Day Meditation Challenge! Each meditation is only about 10 minutes and has really profound effects.
